APPLY NOW!

  • What is it, and who can apply?

All high schoolers graduating in 2022 or later will be eligible to apply to the below program and receive a prestigious A Cowboy's Calling...Certificate. This will certify that these participants are dedicated and high-achieving students. The Outreach team will be able to track if these participants choose to attend one of our campuses after receiving their bachelor's degree.

  •  How do I apply?

To be admitted to this program and be eligible for a certificate, students must complete a formal application and submit a reference letter from a teacher, counselor, or administrator. Reference letters can be uploaded during the application, or emailed to chs_outreach@okstate.edu.

  • I am already halfway through high school and just found this program. Can I still participate?

Absolutely! For rising seniors through rising sophomores, we have created a way for you to participate without being disadvantaged. The suggestions on the tables are made per year, but are not required annually. Items need to total each x4. For example, if a student doesn't begin the program until their junior year, they only need to attend 8 activities, completely 12 hours of volunteering, and complete 4 essays before graduating to achieve bronze status (starting for graduates in 2025 and later).

  • What do I earn upon completion?

If a certificate is completed upon high school graduation, each student and three guests are invited to the OSU Center for Health Sciences campus in Tulsa for a luncheon, tour, and presentation of awards from the High School Outreach Program.

For students who will graduate in 2022-2024

They will be offered the below paths to achieve the certificate as they are disadvantaged in not having all four years to complete a standard path. The below are all made as total requirements. If achieved, they will receive gold status.
