The Staff Advisory Committee is comprised of elite educators from a wide variety of backgrounds. They continually meet with the outreach team to help improve our programming and events.
Meet the Committee
Ashley Davis, Science Instructional Coach, Epic Charter Schools
Ashley has a Bachelors of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science and Masters of Science in Molecular Pathology. She has been involved in education since 2015 and loves all things science! She lives on a working cattle ranch with her husband and two children. Her family enjoys ranch rodeos, team ropings, and traveling.
Ginger James, Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction, Muskogee Public Schools
Ginger is the Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction for Muskogee Public Schools. She is beginning her 5th year with Muskogee and 25th year in education. She began her career as a 1st grade teacher for 6 years, then moved on to further her career. Ginger received her Masters from Southern Nazarene University in Educational Leadership. Upon completion of her masters program, she became an elementary principal for 14 years. The past 4 years she has been able to serve as District Coordinator and Director in federal programs, accountability, assessments and curriculum/instruction.
Shannon Starr, Next Step Program Coordinator and Area College Concurrent Contact, Epic Charter Schools
Shannon Starr is currently the Next Step Program Coordinator and Oklahoma Concurrent Contact for Epic Charter Schools. She has background in education, small business, and nonprofits. Shannon has taught school for several years, is a One Degree life coach, has been a small business owner, was the General Manager for a Non-Profit in the Tulsa area, currently sits on the Board of Plumbline Ministries, and also serves on the Tulsa Human Rights Commission for the city of Tulsa. Shannon lives in east Tulsa with her husband, Jon, a local attorney, and has two grown sons. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling and spending time with her husband and sons.
Lisa Yahola, Director of Secondary Curriculum and Indian Education, Muskogee Public Schools
Lisa Yahola is the Director of Secondary Curriculum and Indian Education at Muskogee Public Schools. She has been an educator for 22 years, spending 19 of those in the classroom. Lisa has a Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University in Science Education, and a Master’s degree from Arkansas State University in Curriculum and Instruction, and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Oklahoma.
