Diagnostic Radiology Resideny Program
Program Director Welcome
Welcome! I appreciate your interest in our radiology residency program at Oklahoma
State University Center for Health Sciences. The Oklahoma State University Medical
Center in Tulsa, OK graduated their first radiology resident in 1960.
Since then, Diagnostic Imaging Associates (DIA) has developed and established the
residency producing excellent graduates. DIA is one of the largest radiology companies
in the region which allows a diverse exposure to pathology, imaging modalities, and
procedures to our residents. We are proud of what our residents have gone on to accomplish
with their careers, in both the academic and private practice communities.
Sincerely,
Donald von Borstel, D.O.

Program Description
Our 4-year program has a mixed private practice and academic atmosphere, being housed
at Oklahoma State University College of Health Sciences and facilitated by a large,
regional private practice group. In house moonlighting is available with ample opportunity
for additional moonlighting, as desired by the residents. Frequent resident social
events occur and Attending bought lunches are often provided to the residents during
their workday. There is also an option to take night call and part of the weekend
shifts from home.
Our residents have an outstanding volume and access to a variety of imaging cases
throughout their residency. The residents perform a wide variety of procedures while
on their modalities, giving the residents continuous exposure to imaging guided procedures
throughout their residency. We have a diverse group of attending physicians, most
of which are subspecialty trained and easily accessible to the residents during their
training. Our program has an established lineage of high profile fellowships in desirable
training institutions throughout the country.
