OSU-CHS Graduate Programs Commencement Ceremony

Saturday, May 9th, 10:00 a.m., Tulsa Mabee Center

Graduates in Athletic Training, Biomedical Sciences, Forensic Sciences, Global Health, Health Care Administration, and Medical Sciences have one commencement ceremony per year, the CHS Commencement Ceremony in Tulsa. Degree candidates in these programs are invited to this once-per-year ceremonial event where their degrees will be individually certified, including Master’s and Doctoral hooding, only at the CHS Commencement Ceremony in Tulsa.

 

All fall 2025 graduates, as well as spring and summer 2026 candidates for graduation, are welcome to participate in both the reception and ceremony.

No tickets are required. The venue will open for guests one hour prior to the ceremony start time.

 

For those unable to attend, a live stream of the ceremony will be available via OSU-CHS Youtube

 

Security

All persons are subject to search upon entering the arena. This includes but is not limited to graduates, guests, faculty, and staff.

 

Items not permitted in the venue: weapons, hats, large bags, outside food or drinks (these are available for purchase inside the venue if needed), flowers (these are available for purchase inside the venue if needed), air horns, bells or other noisemakers. We appreciate your patience, cooperation and understanding.

 

Academic Regalia

Individuals who participate in the commencement ceremony are expected to wear caps and gowns that are approved by the university. Regalia information is included in the links below.

 

Medallions will be distributed with the rental of a Cap and Gown from the Stillwater University Store. Caps and gowns are sized by height/weight. Caps are one size fits all.

Family and Guests

  • There are no restrictions on the number of guests you can invite to Commencement. Friends and family are welcome to attend in person or via live stream on the Inside OSU

 

Doctoral Regalia

Purchase Options:

If you would like to invest in a “custom” doctoral gown, consult the OSU Bookstore in Stillwater and specifically contact Jennifer Knight at Jennifer.knight@okstate.edu before the deadline of Friday, February 20th at 3PM. 

  • Purchase option includes a custom gown, custom hood, tam, tassel, and medallion.

Rental Option (most common for doctoral students): 

If you would like to rent quality doctoral regalia, rental orders will begin with the OSU Bookstore in Stillwater starting from Monday, March 2, 2026, online via shopokstate.com, and end on Friday, March 13, 2026, to allow for delivery to the OSU-CHS campus in Tulsa. Doctoral regalia must be picked up in person. Home address shipping options not available.

  • Regalia pickup at OSU-CHS will begin on Monday, April 27th through Friday, May 8th by 4:30pm. A proxy for pick up may be allowed with written permission and identification only by contacting Kris Mattix at kmattix@okstate.edu.
  • Rented regalia should be returned to the OSU-CHS Bookstore during business hours 8:30AM – 4:30PM on Monday, May 11th through Wednesday, May 13th.
  • Full rentals include one gown sized by height, one mortar board, one tassel, one medallion and one PhD or Doctor of Science hood, but you can also customize to only include the items that you need. Tams are not available for rent.

 

Master’s Regalia, Announcements and Other Commencement-related purchases

Purchase:

Master’s regalia is available for purchase through the OSU Bookstore in Stillwater. Plan well in advance of May 1st to allow one week for delivery to the OSU-CHS campus in Tulsa prior to Commencement Day of Saturday, May 9th. Purchase includes one gown sized by height, a one-size-fits-all cap, a degree-specific hood, a tassel with a date drop for the current graduation semester and a medallion.

  • If you choose to have your regalia delivered to the OSU-CHS campus, pickup can be planned for the day before the ceremony (Friday, May 8th) at the OSU-CHS Bookstore in Tulsa (1111 W 17th St, Tulsa, OK 74107). A proxy for pick up may be allowed with written permission and identification only by contacting Kris Mattix at kmattix@okstate.edu.
