Pre-Requisites


Requirements

  • All listed pre-requisite courses must be completed with a grade of B- or above
  • Courses must be completed no later than December 31st of year of application
    • Anticipated courses must be listed on CASPA application
  • Courses must be completed at a regionally accredited institution
  • Online course format is accepted
  • Advanced Placement/CLEP credits can be counted for pre-requisites if the credit has been accepted by the applicant’s institution and is listed on an official transcript
  1. Chemistry I
    • Chemistry course of choice. General is acceptable but not required. One of the two Chemistry courses needs to have a lab. A minimum of 3.0 hours.
  2. Chemistry II
    • Chemistry course of choice. General is acceptable but not required. One of the two Chemistry courses needs to have a lab. A minimum of 3.0 hours.
  3. College Algebra (or higher)
    • Mathematics course of choice. A minimum of 3.0 hours
    • Human Anatomy
      • One semester of Anatomy. Minimum of 3.0 hours. If combined with physiology must be two semesters or 8 hours.
    • Human Physiology
      • One semester of Physiology. Minimum of 3.0 hours. If combined with physiology must be two semesters or 8 hours.
    • Microbiology
      • Microbiology course of choice. General is acceptable but not required. A minimum of 3.0 hours.
    • Psychology I
      • Psychology course of choice. General is acceptable but not required. A minimum of 3.0 hours. Sociology courses will not substitute.
    • Psychology II
      • Psychology course of choice. General is acceptable but not required. A minimum of 3.0 hours. Sociology courses will not substitute.
    • Upper Division Science I
      • Defined as courses at or above the 300-level offered by a life science or chemistry department such as Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Zoology, etc. Social science courses do not fulfill this requirement. A minimum of 3.0 hours.
    • Upper Division Science II
      • Defined as courses at or above the 300-level offered by a life science or chemistry department such as Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Zoology, etc. Social science courses do not fulfill this requirement. A minimum of 3.0 hours.
