Program Curriculum

The Oklahoma State University Physician Assistant Program is a 28-month program which consists of 13 months of didactic training and 15 months of clinical training. The program embodies the idea of interprofessional education and as a result a significant portion of the courses occur alongside students in other academic programs on campus. This unique aspect to the program helps to foster relationships between health care providers early on which in turn builds a more successful patient-centered health care team. Program curriculum is subject to approval by the OSU/A&M Board of Regents and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

  • Due to the sequential nature of the existing curriculum, OSU PA Program does not consider applicants seeking advanced placement
  • The program curriculum meets educational requirements for PA licensure in all 50 states and US territories.

Didactic Curriculum

The didactic curriculum consists of lectures, laboratories, and other active-learning experiences designed to prepare PA students for clinical rotations. Didactic instruction is delivered primarily in person, with occasional online sessions.
