SAC Staff Continuing Education Award
The Staff Advisory Council Continuing Education Award is designed to help eligible OSU Center for Health Sciences staff offset the cost of continuing education that enhances their knowledge, skills, and job performance. Awards are funded through SAC fundraising initiatives, private donations, and matching funds provided by the university. Awards are granted as funding is available, and employees may submit one application per academic year.
Awards are approved by the Staff Advisory Council based on recommendations from the SAC Awards and Recognition Committee. The award is provided on a reimbursement basis, meaning recipients are responsible for paying educational expenses at the time of enrollment. To receive reimbursement, recipients must successfully complete accredited college coursework with a grade of C or higher and submit a final grade report or unofficial transcript to the Chair of the OSU-CHS SAC Awards and Recognition Committee.
2026 Applications are Open
Applications for the Summer of 2025 through the Summer of 2026 academic sessions are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must have been enrolled in a continuing education program.
- Applicant must be employed as a staff member (exempt/non-exempt) at OSU Center for Health Sciences and employed a minimum .75 FTE or more and at least funded 50% through budget or grant.
- Applicant must have completed one year of continuous service, employed within OSU-CHS with the above status for at least one year.
- Recipient must be employed at OSU-CHS after completion of class(es) to receive reimbursement. A recipient who resigns or is terminated before completion of class(es) will forfeit their award.
- If selected, the applicant must submit an unofficial transcript to Staff Advisory Council by October 16th, 2026.

Celebration
The Continuing Education Award recipients will receive a certificate commemorating the award. All nominees will be recognized at the CHS Holiday celebration.
