OSU-COM’s mission is to educate primary care physicians with an emphasis to serve in rural or underserved communities. More than half of OSU-COM graduates practice a primary care specialty in areas such as: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Emergency Medicine, and General Surgery.

While OSU-COM’s mission is focused on primary care and rural medicine, our advanced medical school training and curriculum prepares medical students for all specialties of medicine including Anesthesiology, Orthopedic Surgery and Radiology.
