Program Director Welcome Letter
Thank you for your interest in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program. I
am excited to introduce you to our program and provide you with as much information
as you need to pique your interest in joining our residency family. We strive to be
among the best of the OB/GYN residency programs in the country and are constantly
working to improve the curriculum to meet the needs of our residents.
Our patient population is very diverse, including many underserved women and high-risk pregnancies, which allows our residents invaluable opportunities to learn. From day one in the OSU OB/GYN residency program, our residents participate in complex patient cases that help them learn and solidify their knowledge and skills in the field. They receive a well-rounded training and are fully ready to enter independent practice when they graduate.
One of the most notable things that you will experience when visiting our program is the camaraderie of our department. The residents are a built-in support system for each other and we consider each other to be family. Resident wellness is a top priority, and you will see this displayed in both on-campus activities, as well as the times we gather together for social events off-campus where all family members are invited, even our dogs!
