The objective of the 2019 Emergency Medicine Review is to enhance the knowledge of emergency care providers, thereby improving patient care in the emergency department as well as in the private office setting. Participants in this program will become aware of new updates in emergency medicine treatment and practice and gain a better understanding of the variety of patient types and conditions seen in the emergency department in the urban and rural setting.

AOA: The OSU-COM Continuing Medical Education office is accredited by the American
Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
The OSU-COM CME office designates this program for a maximum of 20 AOA Category 1-A
credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of
the physician’s participation in this activity.
AMA/AAFP Equivalency: Application for up to 20 Prescribed credits have been filed
with the American Academy of Family Physicians. AMA/AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted
by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ toward
the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, credit earned
must be reported as Prescribed credit, not as Category 1.
PLICO: Attendance at selected seminars qualifies the attendee for credit toward PLICO
