Service Obstacle System
The Service Obstacle System (SOS) at OSU Medicine is an online problem resolution
system designed for clinic, faculty and staff members to identify obstacles that impede
our ability to provide excellent service. The SOS serves as a method for identifying
opportunities for improvement/excellence that are large in scope, recur, and affect
more than one person. OSU Medicine employees submit a service obstacle. An administrative
committee will review submitted service obstacles and develop solutions for any issues
identified. Status updates and solutions made towards resolving service obstacles
will be shared and communicated. The administrative team here at OSU Medicine have
set service standards for all employees. These service standard are safety, courtesy,
presentation and efficiency. If you believe an obstacle you are facing could possibly
effect one of these standards please submit and SOS. The SOS team here at OSU Medicine
is here to help.
Training Dates
OSU has made a commitment to ensure all executives, chairs, faculty, residents and
staff remain trained and focused on service excellence. The Service Excellence Team
has been offering training to all new employees of OSU Medicine and annual refresher
courses as needed.
